Check the current official requirements first
Eligibility, the syllabus and the stages of teacher certification are published by official education authorities. Find the latest programme for your subject before you start. An old test collection may miss topics that matter now.
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Science and Education includes subject knowledge, teaching methods and learning strategies among the areas assessed. An interview also calls for clear explanations of a topic and thoughtful responses to classroom situations.
Split preparation into three tasks
- Map the syllabus. List the official topics and mark where you need more practice.
- Review test mistakes. Look beyond the score. Was an answer wrong because of a knowledge gap or a rushed reading?
- Practise explaining. Describe aloud how you would teach a topic and check whether pupils understood it.
Set aside time each week to revisit older material. Studying new topics alone makes it easy to forget what you have covered.
What matters in the final weeks?
Prioritize weak areas, practise under time limits and keep interview answers clear and concise. Confirm exam dates, passing scores and required documents through current official announcements.

Turn a wrong answer into a useful note
Copying a question you missed is not enough. Record the topic, why the answer was wrong and the principle that leads to the right answer. If two teaching-method concepts were confused, explain the difference using an example from your own classroom.
Return to the topic with a new question one week later. A correct answer shows that you can apply the idea. If it still feels difficult, reread the explanation instead of simply taking more similar tests.
